New Brunswick education minister Bill Hogan said a review of a policy designed to protect LGBTQ2 youth in schools would include consultation with a variety of stakeholders, but some groups are wondering why they have yet to receive a call.

Ron DeSantis’ War on ‘Woke’ Targets Holocaust Textbooks

The state of Florida has reportedly rejected two new Holocaust-related textbooks due to previous laws signed by Governor Ron DeSantis as part of the state’s resistance to what some call “woke” education.

The textbooks are called Modern Genocides and History of the Holocaust and were both intended for high school students, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTP)—which reported that the books’ rejections were part of a broader review of K-12 social studies material that did not include the approval of any new Holocaust literature this year.

David Lubs, 78, passed away on April 5, 2023, in Colorado Springs, with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law by his side.

Timmins news: Students learn about the trades during Catholic Education Week

In celebration of Catholic Education Week, officials at Ecole Louis-Rheaume are giving students opportunities to learn from others.

“They always say it takes a village to help a child grow; it also takes a village to teach our children,” said Karen Collins, principal of Ecole catholique Louis-Rheaume.

“With the high demand trades, it’s never too early to teach them or to, you know, expose them to different trades out there.”
